Job summary

Troon, based at Tuckers Cove Town Center in Punta Gorda, FL, is seeking a Bartender to join a fast-paced hospitality-focused team. The role involves stocking, mixing, serving beverages, and handling cash via POS while maintaining inventory and supporting event service.

The position offers both part-time and full-time hours, requires knowledge of cocktails and wine, and compliance with Alcohol Awareness Training. English communication skills are advantageous for guest and team interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of bartending experience/training, or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages; assists in cost control and inventory records.
• Maintains inventory control and coordinates with management for supplies.
• Ensures compliance with state liquor laws and SOPs.
• Communicates guest requests to the Department Manager.
• Performs opening/closing duties including inventory, cash handling, and restocking.
• Processes checks and cash transactions using the POS system.
• Reviews banquet schedules and events; serves catered parties and meals when required.

As part ofTroon, youll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour, Part-time and Full-time positions available.

Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:

• Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products and communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed
• Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
• Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
• Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.
• Occasionally serves meals to guests.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Bartender:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.

Other Qualifications:

• Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
• Alcohol Awareness Training.
• Knowledge of POS system.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
