Job summary

Bonita National Golf & Country Club, part of Troon, in Bonita Springs, FL, seeks a full-time seasonal Bartender for a 6-month period. You will stock the bar, mix drinks, and serve guests while maintaining inventory and adhering to state liquor laws.

The role requires knowledge of cocktails and wines, a high school diploma or GED with about one year of bartending experience, and Alcohol Awareness Training. This position includes benefits and opportunities within a global hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
• High school diploma or GED and one year bartending experience or training.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
• Alcohol Awareness Training certificate.

Responsibilities

• Stock the bar, mix and serve alcoholic beverages, assist in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records.
• Maintain inventory control through careful use and monitoring of all F&B products; notify management when supplies are needed.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and SOPs provided by management.
• Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Perform opening and closing duties including inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Maintain accountability for checks and cash transactions; operate the POS system.
• Review banquet schedules for changes and events; assist with catered parties and service at events.
• Occasionally serve meals to guests and support safe work practices.
• Perform other duties as required.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation

$10.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Stocks the bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records.
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
• Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Maintains accountability for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes the Point of Sale system.
• Reviews the banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
• Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.
• Occasionally serves meals to guests.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.

Knowledge/Skill

• Knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses

Alcohol Awareness Training.
