Job summary

Au Cheval Nashville is seeking an outgoing bartender to join our lively 12 South location. You have a minimum of two years of bartending experience, are 21+, and comfortable working in a high-volume restaurant/banquet setting with strong math and cash handling skills.

You’ll build guest rapport, explain cocktail details, manage a cash register, and maintain a clean, compliant bar in a fast-paced environment. Weekend and some holiday availability is required; immediate hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bartending experience.
• Must be 21+ and legally eligible to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Excellent English communication skills; able to work in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

Outgoing, hospitable and always down to make friends. You have a minimum of two years of recent bartending experience and are the legal age to serve alcoholic beverages. We are looking for someone comfortable working in a high volume restaurant/banquet style environment. You have basic math skills, are capable of handling money, and operating a point-of-sale system. You have excellent English communication skills. You must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and are able to lift up to 25 pounds. You have availability to work weekends and some holidays. We're hiring immediately!

• Have strong knowledge of brands of beer, wine and liquor, as well as the ingredients for the most common cocktails (garnishes, proper glassware, and prices)
• Have the ability to inform guests about specialty drinks, as well as answer questions about food
• Maintain cash bank and follow established procedures
• Follow all alcoholic beverage laws, policies and regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Deliver drink orders in a timely, and efficient manner
