Job summary

Troubadour Golf & Field Club, located just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a Bartender to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. The role emphasizes timely drink service and expert beverage knowledge to enhance member dining experiences.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of bartending experience, a passion for hospitality, and a strong understanding of wine pairings. Flexible scheduling includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of bartending experience.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and local food safety standards; ability to obtain State Food Safety Certificate.
  • Robust knowledge of wines and beverages.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service.

Responsibilities

  • Work with culinary and F&B leaders to set exemplary culinary standards and a culture of continual improvement.
  • Provide exceptional service and communication with members, guests and team members at all times.
  • Greet guests politely, anticipate needs, and respond with urgency during interactions.
  • Craft cocktails, follow recipes, and prepare beverages to house standards and pour ratios.
  • Recommend beverages and pairings based on preferences and menu items, including wine knowledge.
  • Remain aware of menu items and specials; accommodate allergies and special requests.
  • Enter transactions into POS, issue checks, and close sales per policy.
  • Keep bar areas clean, stocked, and compliant with food safety standards.

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club, set outside of Nashville, Tennessee.

Troubadour Golf & Field Club is seeking a Bartender to join the Food and Beverage Service Department.

The Bartender will be responsible for timely service of drinks and general oversight of the bare and restaurant areas. The should passionate about food, beverage, and the art of hospitality, and provide an extensive knowledge of food and beverage pairings to provide members the best dining experiences. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with all culinary and F&B leaders to create exemplary culinary standards and an environment of continual improvement.
  • Provide exceptional service and communication at all times with members / guests and team members.
  • Greet all guests and members politely and promptly, proactively anticipate needs to enhance experience, demonstrate sense of urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactions.
  • Execute exceptional craft cocktails, follow recipes for syrups and all house-made ingredients, and prepare and serve beverages to company standards, including pour ratio.
  • Present extensive knowledge of all beverages and ingredients, make recommendations based upon preferences or food pairings, including wine knowledge.
  • Thorough understanding of all menu items and daily specials, be attentive to food allergies and special menu requests.
  • Enter all transactions accordingly into POS system, issue accurate checks, and close sales timely and according to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and bar storage areas at all times, complete daily stocking and opening / closing procedures, monitor expiration of perishable items, and adhere to food safety standards.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of previous bartending experience, preferably in a fast paced, high end establishment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards; possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate.
  • Robust knowledgeable of wines and beverages.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
