Job summary

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Bartender for Troubadour Golf & Field Club just outside Nashville. You will ensure timely drink service and assist in maintaining bar and dining areas with a focus on hospitality and accuracy.

Responsibilities include crafting cocktails, advising on wines, greeting guests, handling POS transactions, and upholding food safety and quality standards in a fast-paced, high-end setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of bartending experience.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and local food safety standards; State Food Safety Certificate required or obtainable.
  • Passion for beverages and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Work with culinary and F&B leaders to set exemplary standards.
  • Provide exceptional service and communication with members, guests, and staff.
  • Greet guests politely; anticipate needs and respond quickly.
  • Craft cocktails per recipes; manage syrups and house-made ingredients.
  • Demonstrate extensive beverage knowledge and wine recommendations.
  • Know menu items and specials; accommodate allergies.
  • Process POS transactions; issue checks and close sales per policy.
  • Maintain bar cleanliness; manage stock and opening/closing duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Please click here to apply internally.**This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club, set outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Troubadour Golf & Field Club is seeking a Bartender to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. The Bartender will be responsible for timely service of drinks and general oversight of the bare and restaurant areas. The should passionate about food, beverage, and the art of hospitality, and provide an extensive knowledge of food and beverage pairings to provide members the best dining experiences. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.**Key Responsibilities**• Work with all culinary and F&B leaders to create exemplary culinary standards and an environment of continual improvement. • Provide exceptional service and communication at all times with members / guests and team members. • Greet all guests and members politely and promptly, proactively anticipate needs to enhance experience, demonstrate sense of urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactions. • Execute exceptional craft cocktails, follow recipes for syrups and all house-made ingredients, and prepare and serve beverages to company standards, including pour ratio. • Present extensive knowledge of all beverages and ingredients, make recommendations based upon preferences or food pairings, including wine knowledge. • Thorough understanding of all menu items and daily specials, be attentive to food allergies and special menu requests. • Enter all transactions accordingly into POS system, issue accurate checks, and close sales timely and according to policies and procedures. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and bar storage areas at all times, complete daily stocking and opening / closing procedures, monitor expiration of perishable items, and adhere to food safety standards. • Any other duties as assigned.**Qualifications**• High school diploma or equivalent. • At least one (1) year of previous bartending experience, preferably in a fast paced, high end establishment. • Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards; possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate. • Robust knowledgeable of wines and beverages. • Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service.**Additional Requirements**• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
