Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Troubadour Golf & Field Club near Nashville, TN, is seeking a part-time Host/Greeter to join the Food & Beverage team. You will welcome members and guests, manage reservations, and ensure timely seating in a high-end setting.

The ideal candidate has at least six months of experience in fine-dining or high-volume hospitality, knowledge of food safety, and a professional, guest-focused demeanor. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fine-dining or high-volume hospitality settings.
  • Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards (or ability to obtain certificate).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome members and guests at the door with a warm greeting and use guest names when possible.
  • Manage reservations and walk-ins in an organized fashion.
  • Schedule reservations by phone, email, or in person requests.
  • Ensure seated guests have reservations and seating is ready.

Job description

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club, set outside of Nashville, TN. Troubadour Golf & Field Club is seeking a Host / Greeter to join the Food & Beverage Department.

Part-Time Hourly role. Pay Starting at $15 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome members and guests at the door with a smile and warm greeting, using guest name whenever possible.
  • Maintain eye contact and correct posture.
  • Manage reservations and walk-in’s in an organized fashion.
  • Schedule reservations over the phone, email, or in person requests.
  • Ensure all members and guests with reservations have their required table before arrival.
  • Lead guest to appropriate table according to number of guest.
  • Thank guests and members for their patronage and invite them to return.
  • Assist is seeing all club policy, procedures, and standards are being met by all staff.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six (6) months of experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club.
  • Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards; possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate.
  • Knowledgeable of food and beverage operations.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service.
Additional Requirements
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
