Job summary

Hilton Kansas City Country Club Plaza is seeking a part-time Bartender to lead our bar with expert mixology, delivering guest experiences that create lasting memories.

Shifts are PM/evening, weekends and holidays; 21+ to serve alcohol. Training is available for growth through our Management Development Program, with opportunities to advance into roles like Banquet Captain or Food & Beverage Manager.

Qualifications

• Prior bartending experience in a hotel establishment or similar environment; training available for growth.
• 21+ years old to serve alcohol.
• Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer and wine.
• TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol Certification is a plus.
• Cash handling and basic math for transactions.
• Excellent English communication skills, reading, writing and speaking.
• Knowledge of food safety and standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Educate guests on beverage offerings and maximize beverage sales.
• Assess and anticipate guest needs and make recommendations.
• Maintain exceptional guest experiences at the bar.

Responsibilities:

Bartenders are responsible for consistently delivering exceptional guest experiences to all that come through our door. Duties include preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for all patrons, maximizing tasting bar and overall beverage sales by educating guests on beverage offerings, assess and anticipate guest needs, and make recommendations

Requirements:

• Prior bartending experience in a hotel establishment or similar environment is ideal, but willing to train the food service professional looking to grow their career in the hospitality industry
• 21+ years old to serve alcohol
• Intimate knowledge of - and experience with - various spirits, classic cocktails, beer, & wine
• TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol Certification is a plus
• Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
• Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink prices
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
• Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently
