Job summary

PJW Restaurant Group is seeking Bartenders for The ChopHouse located in Gibbsboro, NJ. The ideal candidate should be charismatic and possess a friendly attitude while welcoming guests. Applicants must be TIPS certified and at least 21 years old. Responsibilities include taking drink orders, preparing beverages, and maintaining cleanliness at the bar.

Qualifications

• Must be TIPS certified before the first non-training shift.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Have working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and common drink recipes.
• Possess basic math skills, handle money, and operate a cash register.
• Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests.
• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant's standard recipes.
• Must properly ID all patrons 35 & younger.
• Learn the names and personally recognize regulars.
• Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system.
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change if applicable.
• Wash and sterilize glassware.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons.
• Maintain bottles and glasses to support efficient drink preparation.
• Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar.
• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
• Report equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
• Assist in restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation.
