Job summary

Olos Chattanooga is seeking a friendly bartender to prepare and serve beverages and foods to guests. You will roll up your sleeves to assist the team and uphold our Every Guest Every Time philosophy.

Qualifications include training completion, ability to greet guests, mix drinks to recipes, handle payments, maintain bar inventory, and comply with laws. Job Description:

A bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and/or food to guests. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our EVERY GUEST EVERY TIME philosophy.

• Complete all required training
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standards
• Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better service to the guests
• Provide personalized, friendly service to each and every guest
• Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
• Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
• Present and serve beverages to guests
• Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations
• Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates, cards, and vouchers
• Stock and maintain the bar inventory
• Ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishables

Necessary Skills:

• Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, associate issues, etc.
• Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets
• Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
• Able to report to all scheduled shifts
• Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
• Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
• Is organized, honest, and works well with others
• Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
• Has the highest degree of integrity and is humble, living by the Golden Rule

• Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
• Able to perform work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment

• Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
• Must be able to handle heat and stress
• Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
• Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
• Must be able to write
