Castaway in Burbank, CA, is seeking an experienced bartender for a high-volume, guest-focused bar. You will craft cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, showcase knowledge of whiskeys, and ensure a memorable dining experience for guests.

Role requires 2+ years bartending, strong communication, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Training and growth opportunities are available within Specialty Restaurants.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair.

Demonstrate expert knowledge of whiskey varieties, including origins, flavor profiles, and pairing suggestions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking inventory and managing supplies.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring responsible service of alcohol at all times.
Collaborate with colleagues to uphold Odyssey's reputation for excellence and hospitality.
Provide assistance to other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

2 or more years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume establishment
Strong knowledge of whiskey and other spirits, with a passion for mixology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
TIPS or similar certification (can obtain upon hire)

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk and stand for hours at a time. Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Balance and walk with heavy trays, dinnerware and drinks full time.
