Job summary

Whiskey Red's Restaurant in Marina del Rey is looking for an experienced bartender to join its busy team. You will craft both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, engage guests with knowledgeable whiskey guidance, and maintain a welcoming, high-standard service environment.

In this full-time bar role, you’ll keep the station organized, uphold safety and cleanliness, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver a memorable dining experience while benefiting from tips and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bartender experience in a high-volume establishment
• Strong knowledge of whiskey and other spirits with a passion for mixology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• TIPS or similar certification (can obtain upon hire)

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of whiskey varieties, including origins, flavor profiles, and pairing suggestions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking inventory and managing supplies.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring responsible service of alcohol at all times.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold Odyssey's reputation for excellence and hospitality.
• Provide assistance to other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay: $18.47-$21 / hour plus tips

Licenses & Certifications Preferred:

Physical Demands:

• Regular lifting, moving and carrying of food items, furniture, garbage etc. weighing up to 40 pounds across the restaurant
• Regular and prolonged standing and walking inside and outside the restaurant during a 6-8 hour shift with appropriate breaks
• Regular ascending/descending stairs
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
