Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership is seeking a combined Bartender and Barista to provide guest-focused beverage service for Owners and guests, delivering drinks and events that create memorable vacation moments. You will greet guests, take orders, prepare drinks, and ensure a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends/holidays, with on-site responsibilities and a strong emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in bartending or barista roles preferred.
• Excellent guest service and multitasking skills.
• Ability to comply with alcohol service laws and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with guests, answers questions, takes orders, delivers drinks.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas and equipment throughout the day.
• Prepares drinks according to recipes using measuring systems.
• Ensures guests meet minimum age for alcohol service.
• Records orders in MICROS system and handles food/coffee beverages.
• Opens/closes and stocks the bar, maintains CO2 lines and equipment.

In this combined Bartender and Barista role,

• Greets and interacts with guests, answers questions, takes orders, delivers drinks, and ensures guest satisfaction.
• Ensure alcohol is served responsibly by adhering to service limits and portion control processes.
• Prepares drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.
• Validate that all guests meet the minimum age to be served alcohol prior to serving.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Maintains cleanliness and condition of the bar (CO2 lines, soda tanks, soda guns, drain, etc.), tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.
• Take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages.
• Bus coffee cart areas and tables. Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day. Obtain change required for expected business level.
• Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.

• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.

• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

To Become a Bartender And Barista At HVC

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 25lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
