Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership is seeking a combined Bartender and Barista to serve Owners and guests, craft beverages, and contribute to memorable vacation experiences at our locations. You will greet guests, prepare drinks to recipes, check ages, and maintain clean work areas; responsibilities include taking orders in MICROS, assisting other departments, and upholding safety and service standards.

This position requires flexible shifts, weekend availability, and compliance with company policies;

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with guests, answers questions, takes orders, delivers drinks, and ensures guest satisfaction.
• Ensure alcohol is served responsibly by adhering to service limits and portion control processes.
• Prepares drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.
• Validate that all guests meet the minimum age to be served alcohol.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Maintains cleanliness and condition of the bar, tables, and equipment following all set-up guidelines.
• Take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages.
• Bus coffee cart areas and tables; clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment.
• Complete opening and closing duties including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas.

In this combined Bartender and Barista role,

• Maintains cleanliness and condition of the bar (CO2 lines, soda tanks, soda guns, drain, etc.), tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.

• Take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages.

• Bus coffee cart areas and tables. Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day. Obtain change required for expected business level.

• Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.

Guest Experience and Company Standards

• Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.

• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.

• Contribute to team goals.

• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

To Become a Bartender and Barista at HVC:

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.

• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 25lbs without assistance.

• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
