Job summary

SSP America, operating multiple restaurants inside Reno-Tahoe International Airport, seeks a Barista to deliver fast, friendly service, craft espresso beverages, and maintain a welcoming dining atmosphere while upholding company standards. The role is full-time with weekend availability and benefits including a 401(k) matching program.

Applicants should have at least 6 months in food service, English communication skills, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in a food service environment.
• Previous experience working as a barista is required.
• Independently prepares espresso beverages with properly textured milk suitable for latte art.
• Verbal and written communication in English is essential.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
• Food handlers permit, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Process orders quickly and accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and service standards daily.
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from customers and provide correct change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items.
• Assist with transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Keep the work area clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, remove trash, sweep and mop the area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

At SSP America, The Barista plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer experiences by efficiently handling transactions, ensuring accurate cash management, serving clients, crafting delicious espresso based beverages and maintaining a welcoming dining atmosphere, all while upholding company standards and service excellence.

- Providing excellent customer service

- Processing orders quickly and accurately

As a Barista, here are few things you can expect:

- Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.

- Receive payment from the customer and process change.

- Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.

- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

- Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.

- Clean equipment and utensils, removes trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.

- Other duties as assigned.
