Job summary

Food City is hiring to deliver the Starbucks experience for shoppers, offering prompt service, quality beverages, and a clean, welcoming environment. You will prepare and stock Starbucks products, engage customers, and process transactions with a POS system.

Ideal candidates are 16+, with or without prior coffee experience, and eager to learn ingredients and recipes while adhering to food safety policies and attendance requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Food Service/Coffee experience a plus, but not required.
• Learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products.
• Learn the ingredients that go into various products.
• Work with various Starbucks ingredients including coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt service and-quality beverages and products.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products following standards.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude with customers and associates.
• Engage with customers, offer product information, and upsell samples.
• Process cash register transactions using POS system.
• Maintain food safety and cleanliness per procedures.
• Represent Food City and Starbucks with integrity and courtesy.
• Operate all tools and equipment safely and follow routines.
