Job summary

Food City is hiring for a Starbucks associate to deliver a welcoming experience, craft quality beverages, and maintain a clean store environment. You will take orders, prepare drinks, stock products, and assist customers with information and recommendations.

As part of the Food City team, you’ll follow recipes, adhere to safety and food handling procedures, and participate in on-site shifts. This role emphasizes friendly service and collaboration with store staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Food Service/Coffee experience is a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products.
• Learn the ingredients that go into various products.
• Work with Starbucks ingredients including coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine tasks and interact with people daily.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt service and maintain a clean, comfortable environment.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to customer satisfaction.
• Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products while rotating for quality and safety.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers and associates.
• Engage with customers, provide product information, and use suggestive selling.
• Process cash register transactions using POS system.
• Deliver quality beverages and food items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Support Food City and Starbucks culture, values, and mission.
• Operate tools and equipment following safety procedures.
• Follow Food City food safety program and handling procedures.
• Attend on-site shifts to meet time and attendance policies.
