Job summary

Central Wesleyan Church is seeking a friendly barista to craft high-quality coffee and espresso beverages and provide efficient, welcoming service to guests. You will greet customers, take orders, prepare drinks, and handle payments while keeping the station clean and organized.

Experience in barista or food service is preferred but not required. A high school diploma is commonly expected, with training provided for coffee equipment and POS systems.Weekend and holiday shifts are typical.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas and other beverages.
• Greet customers, take orders, and process payments correctly, maintain cleanliness of coffee and food station, dining area, and equipment.
• Restock supplies, ingredients, and display items as needed.
• Operate coffee and espresso machines, grinders, and point of sale.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are met.
• Answer customer questions about menu items and make recommendations.
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining excellent service.
