Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a part-time team member dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced coffee shop environment. You will greet customers, answer questions, and suggest products while preparing beverages to standard recipes and ensuring accurate portions and timely service.

Candidates should excel in teamwork, handle busy periods with poise, and maintain high standards of safety and food handling. Prior cafe experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products and store services.
• Know products in the department and respond to questions, making recommendations.
• Collaborate with teammates to achieve store goals and maintain a cooperative atmosphere.
• Prepare beverage selections per recipes and customer requests using proper equipment and handling transactions.
• Offer samples and inform customers about coffee shop specials to drive engagement.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Use coffee shop equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines; package and label ingredients.
• Check product quality and sell-by dates; take corrective action as needed.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise accurately.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager.
• Stay informed about current ads and promotions, including seasonal items.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Assist with preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks, including theft or fraud.
• Work cooperatively under pressure and manage conflicts calmly.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults as needed.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
