Job summary

Kroger is seeking a customer service–oriented associate for the coffee shop/department. You will assist customers, answer product questions, prepare beverages, and support daily store operations to ensure a welcoming environment and accurate, friendly service.

You will work with teammates to meet store goals, handle transactions, and promote seasonal items while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards in a high-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about products in the department and store.
• Learn and recall product knowledge to assist customers and suggest items.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet store goals.
• Prepare beverages per recipes using appropriate equipment and handle transactions according to best practices.
• Offer samples and inform customers about coffee specials.
• Ensure fresh products and correct portion sizes for orders.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Use equipment in the coffee shop safely and label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review dates to prevent shrink.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all areas of the department.
• Report stock discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
