About the Role

We’re looking for a thoughtful, capable leader to help us not just run, butdevelop and growboth our barista and kitchen programs. This role blends hands-on day-to-day management with forward-thinking strategy — all in a setting that values calm leadership, quality food and drink, and a supportive team culture.

This is a salaried leadership role that requires experience in food service management, strong communication, and a clear sense of ownership. You’ll oversee team operations, guide young staff, and bring structure to the moving parts behind both the coffee and kitchen sides of our business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing the daily flow and operations of the café and barista team
• Overseeing product quality, consistency, and cleanliness across both coffee and food offerings
• Scheduling, training, and mentoring staff (with an emphasis on younger team members)
• Supporting operational improvements and program development
• Monitoring inventory, placing orders, and working with vendors
• Collaborating with ownership on systems, strategy, and day-to-day leadership
• Occasionally assisting with kitchen and front-of-house support when needed
• Creating an environment that reflects our values of warmth, quality, and calm leadership
  

What We’re Looking ForRequired:

• Food servicemanagement-level experience
• Proven ability to lead a team with clarity, accountability, and a supportive approach
• Comfort with scheduling, training, and personnel oversight
• Strong communication skills — verbal, written, and interpersonal
• High proficiency in MS Office and comfort with general tech, iOS systems, and POS
• Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Preferred (but not required):

• Barista or coffee leadership experience
• Working knowledge of espresso and café equipment
• Basic understanding of P&L, margins, and food cost tracking
• Familiarity with quality kitchen operations or food production
• Culinary or hospitality certifications
