Job summary

Metz Culinary Management is hiring energetic Food service workers at Indian River State College. You will be a Barista delivering handcrafted coffee and tea in a fast‑paced college setting, greeting guests, and ensuring great service.

Requirements include barista experience, knowledge of brewing equipment, SERV Safe certification, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Training provided and Daily Pay available.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience required.
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stock, and maintain your station continuously throughout the day.
• Greet guests and determine their coffee interests and needs.
• Educate guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques, along with pastries, sandwiches, and other food items.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
• Use cash register and handle accurate cash and payment processing.
• Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross‑train in other departments.
• Complete weekly inventory and order list.
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously.
• Perform any other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager.
