Job summary

Metz Culinary Management is seeking Rock Star Baristas for a college setting to craft hot and cold beverages and pastries. You will greet guests, explain menu options, and prepare drinks and food items while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards on site at Indian River State College.

The role requires barista experience, knowledge of brewing equipment, and ServSafe certification. You will operate the register, handle cash, train teammates, and participate in inventory and cross-training

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience required.
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
• SERV Safe Certification.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand without limitation for long periods of time.
• Ability to carry 50 lbs consistently.
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stock, and maintain your station continuously throughout the day.
• Greet guests and determine their coffee interests and needs.
• Educate guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques, along with pastries, sandwiches, and other food items.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
• Use cash register and handle accurate cash and payment processing.
• Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross‑train in other departments.
• Complete weekly inventory and order list.
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously.
• Perform any other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager.
