Job summary

Metz Culinary Management is seeking energetic Barista rock stars to craft hand-made coffee and tea beverages at Valencia College – Osceola Campus in Kissimmee, FL. You will engage guests, explain the drink menu, and prepare a variety of coffee drinks and food items in a fast-paced college setting.

This on-site role requires prior barista experience, knowledge of brewing equipment, and SERV Safe Certification.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience required.
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
• SERV Safe Certification

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day
• Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs
• Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
• Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing
• Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross train in other departments
• Complete weekly inventory and order list
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously
• Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager

Metz Culinary Management is growing, and we have openings for Rock Star Baristas that have a passion for making hand crafted hot and cold coffee & tea beverages.We are seeking energetic team players with a winning attitude that deliver exceptional customer service to all guests in a fun and busy college setting.

Requirements:

• Previous Barista experience required
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
• SERV Safe Certification
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand without limitation and for long periods of time
• Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills
