Job summary

Tifa Chocolate & Gelato in North Hollywood seeks a friendly Barista to join our Front of House team. This part-time role focuses on crafting coffee and specialty beverages, greeting customers, and maintaining a clean, welcoming space. You’ll help with gelato and pastries and ensure accurate POS operations.

We value authentic connections, teamwork, and consistent service. The position offers 4–25 hours per week with base pay between $17.25 and $19 per hour plus tips shared among the team.

Qualifications

• Some prior barista and/or food service experience.
• Ability to arrive to work on time for all scheduled shifts.
• Ability to describe menu items including ingredients and pricing.
• Ability to stand and move for shift duration.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Make and serve coffee, tea and other specialty beverages.

• Ability to problem solve and find solutions to challenging questions, requests and/or interactions.
• Ability to stand for the duration of scheduled work time.
• Ability to move and walk for the duration of scheduled work time, with full use of hands and wrists.
• Ability to lift, carry and move a minimum of 25 lbs. multiple times during scheduled shifts.

Other Job Details

• This is a part-time position, 4-25 hours per week.
• Base pay = $17.25 to $19.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Cash and credit card tips are shared with team members and average $5.00 to $6.00 per hour.
