Job summary

Fairmont New Orleans is seeking an energetic poolside beverage team member to support bartenders and maintain a polished bar area by the pool. You will restock supplies, prepare components, and ensure clean, organized service with a focus on guest experience.

The role requires strong teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Previous luxury-hotel or high-volume venue experience is a plus; willingness to work weekends and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous barback, restaurant, hospitality, or Food & Beverage experience preferred.
• Luxury hotel, resort, pool, lounge, or upscale restaurant experience is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, evenings, and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support Bartenders in delivering poolside beverage service.
• Maintain a stocked, clean, organized bar throughout service.
• Restock spirits, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
• Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, mixers per recipes and standards.
• Maintain ice levels and assist with opening/closing the Pool Lounge bar.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of bar for daily pool operations and events.
• Remove used glassware and trash from bar and poolside areas.
• Ensure bar sanitation and proper storage, rotate stock, assist inventory.
• Communicate shortages or equipment concerns to leadership.
• Safely transport beverage products and equipment around hotel/pool areas.
• Assist servers during high-volume periods and stay knowledgeable on offerings.
• Follow Louisiana alcohol regulations and safety procedures.

Job Description

• Support Bartenders in delivering exceptional, efficient, and engaging poolside beverageservice.
• Maintain a fully stocked, clean, organized, and presentation-ready bar throughout service.
• Restock spirits, beer, wine, mixers, juices, syrups, garnishes, glassware, cups, straws, napkins, ice, and other beverage supplies.
• Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, mixers, and other beverage components according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain adequate ice levels throughout service.
• Assistwith opening and closing the Pool Lounge bar and beverage service areas.
• Assistwithsetupand breakdown of the bar for daily pool operations, VIP experiences, cabanas, private events, and special functions.
• Remove used glassware, dishes, trash, andrecyclingpromptly from bar and poolside service areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar tops, counters, coolers, sinks, storage areas, equipment, and service stations.
• Assistwith cleaning andmaintainingbar equipment and tools.
• Assistwith receiving, organizing, rotating, and storing beverage products.
• Maintain proper product rotation and storage procedures.
• Assistwith inventory counts, requisitions, waste tracking, and product accountability.
• Monitorstock levels andcommunicateshortages or equipmentconcerns toleadership.
• Safely transport beverage products, ice, equipment, and supplies throughout the hotel and pool areas.
• Assist Servers and Runners with service support during high-volume periods.
• Maintain knowledge of Pool Lounge food and beverage offerings.
• Interact with guests warmly and professionally whenappropriate.
• Follow all applicable Louisiana alcohol regulations and responsible beverage service procedures.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and pool-area safety procedures.
• Maintain a polished and professional appearance consistent with Fairmont New Orleans standards.
• Performadditionalduties as assigned.

Qualifications
