Job summary

Fairmont New Orleans is seeking an engaging bartender to provide warm beverage service in a luxury hotel setting. You will prepare cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic options while guiding guest selections and maintaining impeccable service standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of cocktails and spirits, excellent guest relations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume poolside/bar environment. Overnight and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience bartending in luxury hotel, lounge, or resort setting.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; guest service focus.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and maintain composure.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional, engaging, and personalized beverage service.
• Welcome guests promptly and anticipate their needs.
• Prepare cocktails and beverages according to established recipes.
• Assist guests with beverage selections and pairings.
• Open and serve wine and champagne when required.
• Maintain bar area cleanliness and organization; coordinate with service staff.
