Job summary

Hyatt Regency Greenwich is seeking a Bartender/Barback assistant to support bartenders and servers in delivering a positive guest experience. You will assist with stocking, garnishes, ice, and overall bar cleanliness, ensuring smooth operations during service with a flexible schedule.

Experience in hotel operations is preferred; strong communication and physical stamina are essential to handle duties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills to ensure proper delivery amounts and portion sizes.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to handle glassware, bottles, garnishes and stock.
• Ability to read and comprehend product labeling instructions for safe use of products.
• Ability to bend, lift and carry up to 150 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders and servers to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Retrieve orders from storeroom and verify against requisitions.
• Prepare garnishes, juices and stock for service according to projected business.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration and storage areas.
• Scoops ice, replenishes containers and assists with stocking supplies.
• Transport kegs, tap maintenance and related equipment.
• Follow attendance rules and be available for regular shifts.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
