Job summary

Waterford Hotel Group in Hartford, CT seeks a Barback to support bartenders and maintain a clean, well-stocked bar in a fast-paced hotel setting.

You will assist with drink prep, bussing, sanitation, and guest areas, ensuring brand standards and a welcoming environment.

Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; full-time availability preferred, with health and wellness benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Previous barback, bussing, or restaurant experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Strong hospitality disposition.
• Ability to lift heavy items (kegs, cases of beverages, etc.)
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock bar with liquor, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes, and other supplies.
• Replenish ice bins, change kegs, and restock refrigerators.
• Assist bartenders with drink preparation as needed.
• Ensure all bar tools and equipment are clean and organized.
• Clear and reset tables, bar tops, and lounge areas promptly.
• Remove used glassware, plates, and trash from guest areas (pre-bus).
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of bar seating and surrounding spaces.
• Assist servers and bartenders in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
