Firmdale Hotels is hiring a Barback at The Whitby Hotel in New York, NY. This full-time role requires readiness to work AM/PM shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. You will assist guests, maintain a professional demeanor, restock supplies, and ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar area.

Compensation includes a base pay of $11.35 per hour plus tips, with employee benefits and opportunities to support a Variety of Firmdale Hotels and restaurants across NYC and London.

Qualifications

• Previous bar/restaurant experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand and work for 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with all their needs.
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Promote teamwork by assisting fellow servers and colleagues.
• Restock deliveries and monitor supplies to meet par levels.
• Keep bar area clean and organized, including glassware, rags and sanitizing solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and wine list; ensure mise en place is ready.
