Job summary

Svih Management in New York, NY is seeking a hospitality professional to provide excellent guest service in our lounge areas. You will take orders, enter them into the POS, and process checks with accuracy and care, delivering orders in a friendly, professional manner.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to work flexible weekends and holidays, with knowledge of wines and cocktails and ability to upsell while maintaining high standards of sanitation and guest

Job Location: San Vicente West Village - New York, NY 10014

Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.00 Hourly

Primary Purpose

Provide excellent guest service upon taking food and drink orders in our lounge areas, attending to guest needs and processing payment of checks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders accurately.
• Enters food and beverage orders in the POS system accurately.
• Delivers food and beverage orders in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with club standards.
• Answers all questions regarding the menus accurately.
• Utilizes selling techniques to upsell.
• Handles financial transactions accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks.
• Acknowledge guest needs, anticipate guest needs and always respond promptly to maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Process guest payment by posting on POS system, verifies if guest is in house or walk in patron.
• Informs manager of any guest complaints, requests or problems.
• Maintain organized and clean work area.
• Communicate with incoming prior shift as to outstanding tables.
• Reports any damages, discrepancies and/or malfunction of equipment to manager.
• Follows all safety and sanitation procedures that pertain to the job.
• Clean and polish silverware, glassware, sugar receptacle, trays, coffee pots, tea pots.

• Minimum 1 year of hospitality or customer service in a fine dining restaurant preferred.
