Job summary

Mauna Kea Resort seeks a Bar Porter to support the bar operations, assist bartenders and cashiers, and keep supplies prepared and stocked. You will service guests, maintain cleanliness, and help with garnishes and drink preparation in a fast-paced resort setting.

The role requires the ability to multitask, work shifts as scheduled by the manager, and comply with liquor regulations. Knowledge of the resort’s beverage program is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Department of Health TB Clearance
• Liquor Commission card preferred, or acquired within 30 days after hire
• Able to read and write to do job duties
• Must be able to Multi-Task

Responsibilities

• Act as a utility person at the bar and assist bartender/cashier as required in keeping supplies and equipment ready.
• Service guests courteously and efficiently.
• Relieve bartender/cashier when needed.
• Maintain the bar, storeroom and work area clean and organized.
• Prepare garnishes, mixes and juices for drinks.
• Assist in inventory and rotate stock.
• Assist in welcoming guests, taking beverage orders, mixing and serving drinks.
• Follow County regulations and hotel policies in serving alcoholic beverages.
• Perform duties of a bartender when required.
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
