Job summary

Prince Waikiki in Honolulu seeks a Barback to support the 100 Sails Bar with guest-focused service, bar setup, and timely replenishment of supplies.

You will work closely with bartenders, maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar and equipment, and ensure compliance with liquor laws in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Candidate must be at least 21, ready to stand for long periods, and able to lift 75 lbs. Training on hotel SOPs will be provided.

Qualifications

• Read and write English to perform job duties.
• Passionate about food and beverage and possess a desire to exceed guest's expectations.
• Service-minded and innovative who continue to deliver high quality standards of service.
• Bar porter experience in a full service bar preferred.
• Dept. of Health TB clearance.
• Minimum 21 years of age to pour alcoholic beverages.
• Must obtain Hawaii State liquor commission card.
• Pass written test on beverage and food items

Responsibilities

• Follow liquor laws and hotel policies in serving beverages.
• Recognize and respond to disgruntled patrons.
• Welcome guests and build rapport.
• Ensure bar is set up and closed to hotel standards.
• Maintain bar supplies, sanitation and cleanliness.
• Ensure adequate products and supplies for guest service
• Remove dirty dishes and transport to dishwasher.
• Understand bar equipment and usage.
• Be familiar with hotel brands and beverages.
• Serve food and beverages promptly.
• Perform tasks as SOPs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a manager.
