Job summary

Magnolia Bluffs Casino in Natchez, MS is seeking a Bar Porter to join our Food and Beverage team. You will provide fast, friendly service and restock bars to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, following policies, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing 6-8 hours per shift. TIPS certification is preferred; prior bar porter experience is a plus. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly and efficient service to every guest while cleaning and restocking bars.
• Adhere to established procedures, policies, and sanitation guidelines.

• Maintain the uniform and personal hygiene standards.
• Stock bar with glassware, supplies, and bar/service ware; clean and sanitize.
• Maintain stocked back bar coolers, open wines, beers and waters.
• Maintain ice bins and clean up at end of shift.

BAR PORTER

Located on the Mississippi River, on the site of the former Learned’s Mill that operated from 1828 until 1962, Magnolia Bluffs Casino now calls this historic land home. The casino originally opened in 2012 and is currently owned and operated by Saratoga Casino Holdings, LLC. With numerous slot machines and ample table games such as poker, blackjack, roulette and craps as well as delicious dining options, we offer a guest experience unparalleled to others. In addition to our boasting casino, we operate a beautiful hotel with the areas only saltwater pool!

We are now looking to expand our team as we continue to provide the city of Natchez with the best customer service and gaming experience possible! Our current opening is for a Bar Porter. This position will report directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, and will be responsible for:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide fast, friendly and efficient service to every guest, every time while cleaning and restocking bars.
• Adhere to established company and departmental procedures, guidelines and policies at all times, including but not limited to guest service, sanitation and organization.
• Communicate with and promote positive team member and guest interactions and maintain professionalism at all times while working with other team departments and guests in accordance to Signature Service guidelines.
• Maintain strictly, the established company uniform, well-groomed, appearance and hygiene standards at all times.
• Supplies the bar with clean glassware and bar and bottle service ware; placing them in the dishwasher to be cleaned and sanitized.
• Returns all cleaned and sanitized glassware and bar and bottle service ware to properly assigned areas at the bar and cocktail service station.
• Maintains fully stocked back bar coolers with beer, open wines for glass service and bottled water and mixes for bottle service.
• Maintains fully stocked ice bins.
• Remove all trash and mop at end of shift.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent. TIPS certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of bar porter experience preferred.

Other:

• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 6-8 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Casino employees may be required to obtain a Mississippi Gaming License. Cost of license is covered by Saratoga Casino Holdings, LLC. Travel to Jackson, MS will be mandatory for this licensing process.
