Job summary

Blue Moon TapHouse in downtown Norfolk, VA is seeking a seasoned Manager to oversee daily food and beverage operations in a high-volume bar environment with an open kitchen and live music. You will ensure guest satisfaction, enforce health and safety standards, train staff, plan shifts, manage inventory and costs, and drive promotional programs to grow sales.

Strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to balance quality with profitability are essential; evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospitality Management degree or college preferred.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with standards of service and operating procedures.
• Adhere to regulations concerning health safety or other compliance requirements.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of one or more food and/or beverage outlets or assigned portion of the operation.
• Provide hands on bar and server training.
• Plan and organize work.
• Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
• Recommend and/or initiate staffing actions in accordance with company rules.
• Address guest complaints and establish service recovery guidelines.
• Assist with promotions and new menus and local marketing programs.
• Monitor performance via guest feedback and financial results; initiate corrective action.
• Maintain inventory security and control costs; participate in inventories.
• Aim for budgeted revenues and maximize profitability across outlets.

Education
