Job summary

Aventura Ann Arbor is seeking a Bar Manager to lead one of Ann Arbor's premier beverage programs. You will partner with the General Manager to elevate guest experiences, mentor bartenders, and drive evolution of cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings.

This role focuses on leading shifts, coaching a high-performing team, and ensuring consistency and quality across all beverage services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Beverage program leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and responsible alcohol service.
• Experience managing beverage inventory, ordering, cost controls, and vendor relationships.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using restaurant POS systems, scheduling software, inventory platforms, and basic reporting tools.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead management floor shifts and deliver exceptional hospitality during every service.
• Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing bar team.
• Create and implement seasonal cocktails and beverage features.
• Manage liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage inventory and ordering.
• Monitor beverage cost, inventory variance, and overall operational performance.
• Build strong vendor relationships and source new products.
• Ensure recipe consistency, beverage quality, and responsible service.
• Partner with leadership to improve guest experience and restaurant operations.
