Job summary

Aventura Ann Arbor is seeking a Bar Manager to lead one of Ann Arbor's premier beverage programs. You will partner with the General Manager to elevate guest experiences, mentor bartenders, and drive evolution of cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings.

This role focuses on leading shifts, coaching a high-performing team, and ensuring consistency and quality across all beverage services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Beverage program leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and responsible alcohol service.
• Experience managing beverage inventory, ordering, cost controls, and vendor relationships.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using restaurant POS systems, scheduling software, inventory platforms, and basic reporting tools.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Requirements

• 2+ years of leadership experience within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.


• Beverage program leadership experience strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Remain on feet for extended periods of time while actively managing dining room, bar, and service operations.


• Move throughout all areas of the restaurant, including dining rooms, bar areas, service stations, storage areas, patios, and kitchen support spaces.


• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, including cases of liquor, beer, wine, glassware, and restaurant supplies.


• Perform repetitive motions including typing, writing, using POS systems, handling glassware, and completing administrative work.


• Work in a fast-paced hospitality environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, cleaning chemicals, and crowded service areas.


• Safely navigate stairs, uneven surfaces, and tight spaces while maintaining awareness of guests, staff, and operational needs.
