Job summary

The Longboard Sullivan’s Island is seeking a Bar Manager to support the Beverage Director and General Manager in building a cohesive bar program. You will lead a team to deliver creative cocktails, maintain menu standards, and manage costs in a high-volume, full-service setting.

Ideal candidates have a minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory role in a full-service restaurant, strong leadership, exceptional communication, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory role in a full-service, high-volume dining restaurant.
• Ability to manage budgets, costs, and inventory while maintaining standards.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with a calm demeanor under pressure.
• Excellent communication and guest-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the education of beverage programs for the staff.
• Train new bartenders in the “Ballast Way”.
• Assist with restaurant staffing needs including interviewing and hiring.
• Assist Beverage Director and GM with employee supervision, discipline, training, development, and termination.
• Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, and assisting with performance reviews.
