Silver Ventures, Inc. is hiring a Bar Back to support bartenders and ensure a smooth, welcoming service at our San Antonio venue. You will help with stocking, cleanliness, and drink prep, contributing to a fast-paced, friendly guest experience.

Excellent customer service and reliable attendance are essential. eligible candidates must be 18+, hold TABC and Food Handlers certifications, and be comfortable with POS systems.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
• TABC and Food Handlers certifications required before employment begins.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in POS and credit/debit card processing.

Responsibilities

• Stock bar with condiments, ice, napkins, and supplies.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and ice supplies.
• Restock beer and assist with keg changes.
• Bus glassware and sanitize bar area between guests.
• Ensure bar area and stools are clean and organized.
• Wash glassware and restock as needed.
• Prepare margarita mix and garnishes for drinks.
• Maintain stock of juices, liquor, beer, and wine.
• Follow safety and sanitation rules.
• Support bartenders and perform duties as assigned by manager.

A new, full-service icehouse is opening soon in the vibrant Pearl District, nestled beneath Texas’ signature live oaks alongside the San Antonio River. Otto's Ice House, brought to you by an iconic Texas hospitality company, will offer friendly service, classic Southern bites with a Texas twist, and live music on the outdoor patio.

As a Bar Back:

You support bartenders in all aspects of operating a smooth running and profitable bar. You understand the value of great service and provide it consistently to Guests in a timely, courteous, efficient, and accurate manner. You always keep your workstation clean and sanitary, showing pride in your work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Stock the bar with all necessities including condiments, straws, rags, and beverage napkins, etc
• Maintain full ice binds and bar cleanliness
• Restock beer and help change kegs
• Bus glassware and dirty plates on top of and around the bar area
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of the bar, around the bar, and bar stools
• Wash glassware and restock as needed
• Run bus tubs back to the kitchen and replace them with new ones
• Make margarita mix for margarita machine
• Cut fruit and garnishes for drinks
• Maintain proper stock of juice, liquor, beer, and wine
• Clear bar area of used dishes, glasses, and silverware and re-sets between customers
• Follow safety and sanitation rules and practices
• Perform any other duties specified by manager and/or your bartender

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have a TABC and Food Handlers certification before employment begins
• Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• POS (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills
• Punctual and reliable attendance is required
• Must be well-groomed and professionally dressed following uniform standards
• Must have attention for detail, and a passion for serving Guests
• Positive and professional attitude in every aspect of the position
• Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time; capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.; ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions during shifts.
