Job summary

Loverboy is a new restaurant concept opening soon in San Antonio. The Bar Back supports bartenders, keeps the bar area clean, restocks supplies, and helps ensure fast, courteous service to guests.

You will assist with glassware, stock management, and drink preparation while upholding safety and sanitation standards. 18+ and required certifications must be obtained before employment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a TABC and Food Handlers certifications.
• Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• POS (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills.
• Punctual and reliable attendance is required.
• Must be well-groomed and professionally dressed following uniform standards.
• Must have attention for detail, and a passion for serving Guests.

Responsibilities

• Stock the bar with condiments, straws, rags, and beverage napkins.
• Maintain full ice binds and bar cleanliness.
• Restock beer and help change kegs.
• Bus glassware and dirty plates and re-sets between customers.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of the bar area and around bar stools.
• Wash glassware and restock as needed.
• Run bus tubs back to the kitchen and replace them with new ones.
• Make margarita mix for margarita machine.
• Cut fruit and garnishes for drinks.
• Maintain proper stock of juice, liquor, beer, and wine.
• Clear bar area of used dishes and silverware between customers.
• Follow safety and sanitation rules and practices.

Loverboy is a new restaurant concept from the team behind Box St. All Day and No Risk No Magic Hospitality Group. It is planned to open at Pearl November 2, 2026.

Summary/Objective

The Bar Back is accountable for supporting bartenders in all aspects of operating a smooth running and profitable bar. You understand the value of great service and provide it consistently to Guests in a timely , courteous, efficient, and accurate manner. You always keep your workstation clean and sanitary, showing pride in your work.

• Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time; capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.; ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions during shifts.
