Job summary

OKANA Resort & Indoor Water Park, located along the Oklahoma River in the Horizons District of Oklahoma City, seeks a Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations and training. This role requires coordinating menu planning, inventory management, and staff development to ensure high-quality, consistent dishes that meet OKANA standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; culinary education or certifications preferred.
• 3 years of culinary leadership experience, including 2+ years in a full-service hotel or resort.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and current with relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving financial goals.
• Direct and maintain kitchen operations in collaboration with the culinary leadership team.
• Ensure menu planning, inventory management and staff training meet standards.
• Coordinate with outlets to maintain quality and consistency.
• Train and develop line cooks and supervise kitchen staff.
• Direct purchasing to ensure quality and quantity.
• Enforce sanitation and proper food handling procedures.
• Prepare and train staff on menus, recipe cards and standards.
