Job summary

Hyatt Place Houston/The Woodlands is seeking a Banquets and Catering Server to deliver exceptional service at private events, weddings, corporate functions and other occasions.

In a fast-paced, team-oriented setting, you will assist with setup and guest service, follow event orders, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout events. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare banquet rooms or event spaces according to event orders (tables, linens, place settings, decorations).
• Greet guests courteously and assist with seating as needed.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely, efficient, and professional manner during plated, buffet, or cocktail-style events.
• Refill beverages, clear dishes, and reset tables as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event areas before, during, and after events.
• Follow instructions from the Banquet Captain or Event Manager regarding event flow and service expectations.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure smooth service.
• Set up and break down banquet and catering equipment (chafing dishes, beverage stations, etc.).
• Handle guest requests or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
