Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Audio-Visual Technician for banquet events. You will set up and tear down AV equipment, ensuring precise, reliable tech support for meetings and celebrations.

The role includes consulting with sales managers and planners, maintaining service quality, and assisting with department forms. Full- and part-time positions are available, with pay rates of $22–$26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hotel management and/or Information Technology is helpful; High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• General knowledge of practices for convention centers and banquet departments.
• Leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
• Able to operate in-house equipment such as telephone systems, internet, Muzak, sound, lighting and computer equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and teardown of audio-visual equipment for functions and events.
• Provide AV/technical consultation to sales managers and planners for future bookings.
• Resolve guest complaints and maintain guest complaint reports.
