Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Audio-Visual Technician for banquet events. You will set up and tear down AV equipment, ensuring precise, reliable tech support for meetings and celebrations.

The role includes consulting with sales managers and planners, maintaining service quality, and assisting with department forms. Full- and part-time positions are available, with pay rates of $22–$26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hotel management and/or Information Technology is helpful; High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• General knowledge of practices for convention centers and banquet departments.
• Leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
• Able to operate in-house equipment such as telephone systems, internet, Muzak, sound, lighting and computer equipment.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking anAudio-VisualTechnician.In this role, you willbe responsible for setup ofall functions that require audio visual equipment to ensureaccuratetracking of equipment, protecting and caring for assets and serve as a consultant for salesregardingaudio visual needs of future bookings.

We are hiring for both a Full-Time and Part-Time Technician position.

As part of our leadership team,you’llembody our Promise toLead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences.You’llassistthe Banquet Team tooperatein a “for-profit” environment as well as ensure guest service is beyond expectations so that the Resort will meet and/or exceed budgeted expectations

Pay Rate - $22 - $26/Hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Set-upand teardown ofaudio-visualequipment for assigned functions and events.
• Provide audio visual/technical consultation to sales managers and meeting planners/customersregardingadvice for future bookings andaudio-visualneeds when requested.
• Solve,rectifyand mediate all guest complaints andmaintainguest complaint reports.
• Maintain the highest quality of service related to all banquet and meetings service.
• Assistwith completion of all forms within the department (guest complaints, lost business, weekly recaps, contracts, proposals, banquet checks, etc.).

WhatWe’reLooking For

• Bachelor’s degree in hotel management and/or Information Technology is helpful. High school diploma or equivalent isrequired.
• General knowledge of the practices and procedures of a convention center, hotel conferenceservicesand/or banquet department.
• A leadership stylerootedin collaboration, respect, and service to others.
• Also able tooperatein-house equipment such as telephone systems, internet, Muzak system, sound,lightingand computer equipment.
