Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Banquet Supervisor for the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, FL. This on-site role oversees plated and buffet banquet services, coordinating with catering sales and managing guest experiences across event-driven schedules.

The position demands 2-3 years of supervisory banquet experience, ServSafe certification, and flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings, including weekends.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in banquet operations, catering, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or food and beverage service.
• Working knowledge of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), banquet service standards, and event execution.
• Possess a valid ServSafe Food Handling certificate.
• Ability to work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Catering Sales Managers to supervise and execute all catered food and beverage services from order confirmation through event completion.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for banquet clients, event managers, and guests, ensuring service standards are met.
• Assist with implementing new banquet service initiatives and optimizing event operations for guest satisfaction.
• Prepare and inspect banquet rooms, buffet stations, beverage stations, and service areas to verify setup, equipment, staffing, and sanitation.
• Monitor operations during events and adjust staffing and service assignments based on flow and priorities.
