Job summary

Embassy Suites Palm Beach Gardens on-site is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to assist the Banquet Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences during banquet events. You will help with room setup, service during meals, and ensuring smooth operations throughout each function.

The role requires hotel or banquet experience, strong teamwork, and excellent communication. Applicants should be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs in a fast-paced event environment.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverages in the order and to the Supervisor’s expectations.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room for the next function after completion.
