Job Title: Banquet Supervisor

The Hotel Cleveland is seeking an energetic Banquet Supervisor to join our team. The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for supervising the set up, service, and clean up of all assigned banquet functions.

This Marriott Autograph Collection property, opened in 1918, features 491 newly renovated rooms and 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Inspect the setup of meeting and banquet functions against the Banquet Event Order.
2. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
3. Supervise and assist with the setup of banquet functions, ensuring standards are met and preparations are adequate for efficient service.
4. Assist in the service of banquet functions as required.
5. Assist in banquet setup as needed.
6. Know hotel services and facilities.
7. Assist audio/visual team as necessary.
8. Respond to guests' requests promptly.
9. Correct hazards and notify management.
10. Attend meetings as assigned.
11. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director and Banquets Manager.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Previous banquet experience is highly desired.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations.
• Ability to lift, carry, or transport up to 50 pounds.
• Manager food handler certification and alcohol awareness certification, or ability to attain within 30 days of hire.
