Job summary

Lido Beach Resort in Sarasota, FL is seeking a banquet attendant to greet guests and expertly set up and teardown banquet rooms with chairs, tables, stages and equipment for events. You will help maintain an efficient, clean and professional banquet facility by delivering quality service and hospitality that meets our function room standards.

You will arrange furniture, set up audio-visual gear and linens, perform final cleaning, assist with breakdown and storage, and coordinate with event staff

Qualifications

• Physical stamina to handle moving heavy equipment and furniture.
• Ability to read and follow event instructions and floor plans accurately.
• Attention to detail to ensure the event space is set up correctly and meets specifications.
• Teamwork skills to collaborate with other staff members.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and arrange tables, chairs, stages, and other furniture for events.
• Set up and place audio-visual equipment, linens, centerpieces, and other supplies.
• Perform final cleaning of rooms, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces.
• Assist with the breakdown of events, including moving and storing equipment and furniture.
• Keep banquet areas, public spaces, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Work with event staff and servers to ensure the setup is complete and ready for service.
