Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated in Sioux City is seeking a Banquet Houseman to support event execution and guest services. You will work closely with Food & Beverage and Marketing to prepare spaces, set tables, and ensure smooth day‑of operations for banquets.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, including weekends, holidays, and nights. Prior hospitality or AV exposure is a plus, with a focus on guest satisfaction and team safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hospitality, entertainment, sports, or similar environments.
• AV equipment setup/operation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Upholds service standards while enforcing coaching and accountability.
• Ensures safety and security of team members and guests.
• Performs room set up according to floor plan and banquet event order.
• Executes table settings, buffet setups, displays, and bars per event order.
• Conducts closing down and cleanup of banquet spaces.
• Coordinates with F&B and Marketing in advance for day-of event details.
• Maintains courteous, professional communications with guests.
