Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a Banquet Assistant at The Historic Cavalier in Virginia Beach to support banquet operations and ensure a superior guest experience. This role requires physical stamina to set up/ break down spaces and strong communication with supervisors and teams.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Banquet Manager, arranging meeting rooms, replenishing supplies, and maintaining room readiness for back-to-back events throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with event setup and banquet room layouts.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work long shifts and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Manager in preparing banquet spaces and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Set up meeting rooms to guest specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, and dance floors.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and water; maintain cleanliness of rooms.
• Break down and reset spaces for subsequent functions; keep rooms presentable at all times.
