Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Assistant at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center to support the Banquet Manager in preparing for events and ensuring a positive guest experience. You will set up meeting rooms to guest specifications, move heavy equipment, stock supplies, and maintain room cleanliness throughout shifts.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 100 lbs., and strong communication to coordinate with supervisors and staff.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and move tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Manager in preparations for banquet guests and ensure positive guest experience.
• Set up meeting rooms per guest specifications, including moving furniture and equipment.
• Replenish meeting rooms with glasses and water; maintain cleaning schedule.
• Break down rooms after events and return items to storage for next function.
• Ensure rooms and ballrooms stay presentable and ready for use.
• Adhere to attendance requirements and perform other duties as assigned.
